Cristina Downey is the Chief Underwriting Officer for PartnerRe US. In her role, Ms. Downey is a member of the senior leadership team and responsible for supporting PartnerRe’s traditional facultative efforts, establishing underwriting policy and procedure for the US operation and addressing customers needs and initiatives. In addition, has participated in the development of multiple underwriting projects including systems and underwriting manuals as part of her responsibilities at PartnerRe and former organizations. Ms. Downey has served in the AHOU Program Committee, MIB Advisory Board, NEHOUA past president and is currently serving in the ACLI Risk Classification Committee. Ms. Downey is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina where she completed her education. She resides in Connecticut with her husband and their dog Katie and is thoroughly enjoying being a first-time grandmother.
