Melissa is a Medical Director, Vice President at Swiss Re L&H Americas where she provides medical underwriting consultation and underwriter education. She has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years starting as a Life Underwriter after obtaining her Bachelor’s in Business Management. She completed the Fellow Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), the Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI), and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. She continued her education becoming a licensed Registered Nurse where she transitioned from an underwriting role to Medical Director while also doing part-time clinical work in a geriatric setting. She completed a Master’s in Public Health in 2022 from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Melissa currently resides in Wisconsin enjoying life on Lake Michigan.
