Dr Mark Bell is Assistant Vice President and Senior Medical Director for the Underwriting and New Business department at Lincoln Financial Group based in Hartford, Connecticut. He obtained his MD degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA and completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at Brown University where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. Prior to transitioning to Insurance Medicine, he spent over a decade practicing internal medicine in both an in-patient and out-patient academic setting. He has been a Life Insurance Medical director for the past 15 years. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Insurance Medicine and is the past Chair of the Board of Insurance Medicine. He is involved with the American Academy of Insurance Medicine where he has served on multiple scientific committees and is currently a member of the Executive Council. In his free time, he is a registered beekeeper, manages 15 beehives and has his own honey label!
